Susan Harvey
Solo harpsichord music from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries for special events.
Susan Harvey has been a harpsichordist in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986. She has appeared with major early instrument ensembles on the West Coast, as well as with the San Francisco Symphony, California Symphony, and Chanticleer. Susan holds a Ph.D. in musicology from Stanford University and is on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The harpsichord played by Susan Harvey was built in Montreal, Quebec, by Yves Beaupres in 1986. It is a copy of an instrument built in Paris in 1689, which survived the French Revolution and is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
