I have been playing and teaching professionally for 30 years, and I teach beginners to advanced. I have extensive performance and teaching experience in Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Big Band, Funk, and Pop, Classical, and Rudimental styles of drumming. I’ve recorded over 100 CD’s and records, including a Grammy nominated one. I also have world championship level experience as a player and teacher, in the Rudimental arena of Drums and Bugle Corps style drumming. Past teachers include: Peter Erskine, Mike Clark, David Garibadli, Anthony Cirone of the San Francisco Symphony, 3 time world champion snare drummer Bob Kalkofen, to name a few. I hold a B.A. in Percussion/Jazz studies from San Jose State University.

I have a new DVD out on Afro-Cuban drum set styles and techniques.

I teach at my studio in Daly City which is outfitted with all the drum gear necessary. Call or e-mail me to enquire about rates and scheduling.
