9am - 12pm - This session will cover the entrepreneurial mindset, branding, business planning, marketing, print materials, and social networking. Learn how to map out your goals, create opportunities for yourself, build a working team, reach your clients and audience, improve your writing and publicity materials, and fully utilize the power of internet to attract business. Be prepared to outline artistic ideas you personally want to make a reality.

1pm - 4pm - This session will cover developing strong people skills, selling yourself, negotiation, funding your dreams, self-employed options, and extra-musical considerations. Learn how to network with confidence, understand your client’s and audience’s expectations, seek compromise effectively, raise capital for your projects, and brainstorm additional artistic avenues to pursue. Focused interactive activities such as role playing will be used in the afternoon session.
